The 72 Chopper Build has started. Will be running without battery. Headlight (high/low beam) and taillight/brake light. No signals or horn. I'm not the greatest at electrical, but good at fabing with a little direction. Anyone know of someone that puts simple harnesses together? Thanks in advance!

I forgot something important....no battery. Thinking about staying with points. I have to research the pros/cons of each. I'm still getting to know the website. Forgot all about the tech pages. Thanks 3g.

You have to use a PMA charging system to go batteryless.
Hint consider a mosfet type voltage regulator to be mandatory.
Careful to somewhat match load to alternator output.
Vape crank triggered ignition/ PMAs are premo.

I think you'll save yourself a lot of grief if you consider a system with a small LiFePo battery (eg Antigravity 1201) vs a capacitor. Cleaner, more stable power delivery that electronic ignitions prefer as well as fewer light bulbs blown.....That battery weighs a bit over 2lbs and measures only 4.5"x3.25x4.25 and they hold a charge in storage very well.https://www.batterymart.com/p-ag-1201-antigravity-small-case-battery.html

Cloth covered wiring: https://tonsperformance.com/

wire terminals: https://www.vintageconnections.com/ (I like to make my own custom harnesses)

With the above battery, you could save some money and just rehab/update the stock charging system and run points. If you're set on a PMA, I've had excellent service from VAPE https://www.vape.eu/en/yamaha-xs650-15kg-rotor-complete-system
