Smallest Fuel Pipe Filter

Hello all
I'm wondering if anyone can help me? I'm trying to find the smallest fuel pipe filter that will fit on my stock petcock. Or is there a way that I can some how reduce the stock filter? I'm trying to put on a small tank and I'd like to use the stock petcock so I don't have to mess too much with the carbs.
Any ideas?

- you could maybe go to your nearest bike dismantler, hunt through the small tanks and buy the petcocks for the filters if theyre the same diameter...may also be possible to shorten the originals
- put in-line filters in anyway, what ever you do

In terms of in line filters, they make fancy glass ones for motorcycles which are the smallest I've seen. The next smallest I've found were the plastic ones at Autozone. I've had both but I'll stick with the plastic as the glass filters are easy to break...

Petcock filters tend to be pretty specific to the petcock.
