Some wiring help please

I like to use 18ga for most and 14 for the headlight.
I like to use the most flexible stranded wire I can find, usually found at an electronic store or appliance supply.

Capacity Chart

This chart is a simple "max capacity" chart for a short wire run. Motorcycles are a short run

Got fed up with the rocker switch and bought a generic car igntion key switch. Wired her in and first kick - went riding last night with flashing bits all good. One thing I did in the process of this rewire is break my starter solenoid trying to remove it from the bracket (is this even possible?). I have one in my parts box from a kawa kz400 - will this work? Are all starter solenoids the same?
Rewiring is fun - I'm already planning a couple of other leds :D
Bike will end up looking like a gypsy wedding.

Thanks for this I've been meaning to look this up to convert AWG to the australian unit of mm and this is enough for me to know what I need.

Wire from a marine supply is vey flexible and a high quality wire.
On the starter relay, no the mount is welded to the case.
Most relays work about the same. The battery cables hook to the big lugs, the power and ground hook to the two small wires.
That is if the KZ400 has two small wires, pic?
