Wanted - South Carolina Parts Bike with Title

Hi, I'm wanting to start a XS650 Hardtail Bobber project. There are plenty of parts, and parts bikes, in my area on craigslist and what not, but none of them ever have titles. The only bikes that have titles seem to be the $1500 ready to ride ones. Thats not what I'm lookin for. Im lookin for a pile of shiit with a title that isn't 6 hours away.

Just anything to get started with. A title and an engine. Or a title and a frame. A half finished project or just a title even. (South Carolina doesnt check numbers)
