Any of you mad scientists know if i can remove the speedo drive threaded bush and skew drive pinion from my speedo drive unit. I want to take it for powder coating with the hub. Ive given it a good soak in PB blaster and a little heat. It looks like it just push fits in on my haynes manual but i dont wanna get too rough with it and damage the outer threads. I thought about threading a nut on and gentle tapping, or 2 nuts and try to turn it out like an exhaust stud? Tips?:)

I would just clean it very well. Then mask off the part you don't want powdered, then coat it. There is nothing in there that will be hurt by the heat. Just get it clean, grease and oil ruins the powder coat.
