Splitting Cases

Any tricks for splitting my cases. I have all nuts and bolts removed and they are glued together tighter than a drum. I don't really want to drive a chisel between the two surfaces.
 
No need for chisels, screwdrivers, pry bars, etc. unless you hate the motor and want to destroy the cases. No need to jump through a bunch of hoops. First do a second and third check to be sure all of the fasteners are out. A few licks with a rubber mallet will usually get 'er done. If you have to get more aggressive, use a chunk of 2x4 for a drift and apply the Big Friendly Hammer.
 
Yes keep checking as it is easy to miss one or more nuts or bolts.

I have only split two XS650 engines and both of them took only a gentile tap or two.

Not saying some PO might not have used some nasty stuff if it has any signs of being apart in the past.
