i got my chopper goin again today, probly put 50 miles on it.ran better than ever i think.so i get home and a couple hours later i go out to the garage and theres a huge puddle under it.i look and the starter is broken into pieces and theres oil comin out.is there a block off type thing for that?i dont need the effin thing -never been hooked up even:bike:

I just converted part of my starter to a block-off plate. I am just about ready to mount the engine back into the frame. I used the front end of the starter mount, the one that contacts the starter seal, and removed the bushing. Now the i.d. is perfect for a 7/8 fine tap,16 threads per inch. I tapped the hole and cleaned with acetone the bolt and mount. I mixed up some J.B. Weld and filled the threads. Then I placed a 7/8 washer on the bolt coated with J.B. Weld. I screwed the bolt into the mount. Next I coated the other side with J.B. Weld. There should not be any leaks. Thanks Tony C.
