Starter motor condition question?

I modify these once, however would rather have the original type. Have not been able to find machine screws of the needed length

What I ordered has a length off 110 mm.

I just ordered some M6 x 110 mm bolts on eBay.

Not 100%, but I'm pretty sure those are M5.... not M6.

they are absolutely M5, which is the long stags holding together the starter motor - at least the 4 starter motors i have reworked all had M5x110 stags,(3 '75 XS650B, 2 '78 SX650E), maybe they were different on earlier or later models.
