on my HD I used a 4 position starter switch ............ with the 4th position being momentary start...........and was able to do away with the starter relay and the starter button.

just installed a kill switch to stop power from going to coil.

Now on the xs....it seems that what a lot are referring to as a solenoid is actually a relay...

and therefore I should be able to do the same thing.....

Does anyone know if I can use a 4 pos starter switch not install the stock relay...?

This is the ig switch I have......

yes the solenoid is a power relay, do you think your starter switch will handle the 70 odd amps the starter motor pulls? can I watch when you try it? always liked explosions and/or fires as long as it's not my stuff :D
