1979 XS650 SE with 8340 miles - Steal this @ $1,300

1979 XS650SE - 8,340 Miles
Clean Minnesota title in my name. Never got motivated to Craigslist it.
I'll try once more here.

This is a stock bike and runs great - I just got off from a cruise around town. The tins have been repainted and tank badges are gone (Filled in? I can't tell). Looks real nice as is, and with some cosmetic TLC it would be a looker. I've just got too many projects going for me to do it now.

The previous owner passed away a number of years ago - it had not been on the road since 1994 and had been stored in a pole barn until last summer when I bought it. I've put a few hundred miles on it since then.

Chrome is in good shape - very little rust, although mufflers are dull (and stained on the left hand side) The tail light is not stock - I have a stock tail light in rough shape I'll give you if you want it. Fenders chrome is clean and shiny - with a Very small dent in the right front fender.

It's a 35 year old bike - it needs some things done, but it's pretty solid as is.

$1,300 firm
- I have new tires, new tubes and rim straps I bought last fall that I'll throw in on the deal for another $100.

I'm in far Northern Minnesota (I can see Canada from my lawn)

PM me for any questions.

Bruce

One more bump - and I'm done - It'll go up on Craigslist next. (I would rather one of you have it.)

This bike is really in good shape, titled and licensed. New battery and Irridium plugs last year. Fresh oil change. I have cleaned the carbs well, adjusted rockers, points and set the timing. This is a one kick (or one bump of the electric leg) starter.
Charging system works and it rides great as is. Seat is in good shape - no rips.

I have a different gas tank on it currently - the repainted one has a small leak at a seam (I'm trying "Red Kote" to seal it) I'll give you both tanks, a set of working vacuum petcocks and a set of manual petcocks.

It needs new rubber on it. I'll throw in the new tires, tubes and bands for $1,400 - or you can take it w/out the rubber for $1,300.

I never got motivated to Craigslist it this summer...but now I'm hurting for storage space for the winter. $1,300 !!!!!

Everything on this bike works!

The tank I have on it now is different from the pics and has manual petcocks. The one with matching paint has a small leak from a seam and has Vacuum petcocks. You get both tanks.

Someone do yourself a favor and buy this from me!

That's an incredible bargain, $1400 = 923 English pounds, if you lived over here the bike would be in my garage now.:)

This bike is still for sale. Have not even had any inquiries... The only thing I can figure out is that I live in the hinterlands. Bike is in great shape with low miles, runs great, price is reasonable...anyone?
