Strange Popping

Hi,
I just bought this 1981 xs650hs (first bike) and after getting it running it makes this loud popping noise. I have taken in account that the exhaust seals are bad and there's a small hole in the left muffler. I believe its misfiring, but when I took it on a small ride and it ran nicely , only popping on decel. Is there anything i could check to get it where it should be?

popping on decel is caused by exhaust leaks. Seal it up and be happy.
