Stripped Screw in Lower Engine (Rebuilding Question)

I am rebuilding my first engine that I bough from a junk yard . When I got to the lower part of the engine, i noticed there is a stripped screw. Apparently, it has been strip apart before. My question is should i replace this screw(pictured below)? I would pull it out with a screw extractor but I am afraid if i drill, Id hit some internal parts or something.

I'd get a puller. It's substantial enough that you're not going to harm the things around it.

If you do not feel comfortable take it to a machine shop.
