Stripped threads in front cam chain guide.....fixable?

I would attempt a heli-coil repair. The inserts don't have a lot of depth to them and may just wind up filling that space completely. Have the jugs off for the repair as you need to break off the little tab at the end of the insert after installing and you don't need that down in the crank.

I already have the jugs off so I'm good to go for the attempt. Heli-coil it is.

I would take a look at a Timesert repair.
