Stuttering and Sputtering. In case anyone else has the same issue!

The scoot has been sputtering horribly lately. I couldn't figure out why. I thoroughly cleaned the carbs, replaced spark plugs, cables, and caps, etc., etc., etc... When I would get about halfway back on the throttle... Sputter. When I hit a bump... Sputter. There are A LOT of bumps in Johnstown right now due to the City's sewer project. I was at a complete loss. Then today I was cruising down the road and lost ALL power and the bike died. Wouldn't start at all. I turned the key off and on and noticed something. The ignition was really loose. All the bumps had loosened one screw and caused one to come completely out. I held the ignition on with my hand just to get home and replaced the screws. NO SPUTTER! Sometimes the answer isn't the obvious one.

riding around on an XS650 and didn't know you had a screw loose?
Yeah, right.
Seriously though, good that it was a simple fix once you found out what was causing it.

HAHAHAHAHA! Well put! I find a new loose screw every ride I go on.
