I want to spread the word about the great help and advice I'v received from my local vintage bike shop Bay City Cycles. Owner/operator Dan is generous with his advice and technical know how on all things a vintage motorcycle owner needs to know. Bay City Cycles can be reached at 727 967 0131 on S.R. 52 in Hudson, Florida USA.

My local bike shop is the reason I ride.

8 years ago I bought a KZ1000 for $800. It needed a few things - fork seals, valve cover gasket, exhaust bolt snapped off.....new tires.

Every other shop in town either would not even look at it or wanted $1000 to fix it.

The local shop had me going down the road on new Dunlops front and rear and fixed all my issues for $320. They really love working on older bikes.

Had that first experience not gone so well.....maybe I wouldnt even ride today - who knows.

Since then they are the only people short of a the dealer (and only on warranrty work on my new bikes) I will let touch my crap. They work on everything from my 2011 BMW to my 79 XS - great guys.

Ashbys Cycle in Centerville Iowa.
