Hi, I'm thinking bout swapping my 34mm carbs on my xs for 38mm carbs because there knackered. As anyone this and is there any issues with this,
Thanks from the UK

photos of the 38's would explain "knackered" better than words .
Usually folks will go the other way , from 34 to 38mm.
34's come with their own weird but are actually better documented .
You will loose a "bit" of top end that doesn't ordinarily get used anyway while moving the torque peak a little lower .

So , a good swap ? Apples to oranges , yes . Apples to apples not really but that is actually more of a subjective opinion . I'd use the 38's if at all possible but wouldn't call the 34's junk by any stretch .

Without a lot of mystic extraneous verbal-ism.
The 34's are longer so using the stock air boxes will require different dust boots. That is where I stopped so I can't help if you are wanting to retain the original air boxes. If you are using pod filters go for it. I'll assume you know different intakes are needed.
Other than that not really any issues.

Ummm I believe that is what the man said.
I parred down his post and added punctuation to help.
You are welcome.
