Swapping master cylinders

I was curious if anyone knows if a xs650 master cylinder can be used on an RD350, or for that matter if master cylinders can be swapped at all?
 
MC size changed on the 650 in '77 because the caliper type changed. Older calipers had 2 moving pistons and required a larger MC. I think this one would work on an RD because it used the same 2 piston caliper.
 
Yes, the RD350 had the same front brake caliper as 650s up to '76.
 
hi guys,,, when i purchased my 1976.... reg,, as a 77 in vict, aust ,,,,the previous owner swapped the front master cycl... to a 13/16 round master cycl... i,ve got twin calibers on the front as 1976 in aust,,, it does pull up very well ... i did meet him a few years ago and he asked me if i,d like toooooo swap it for the orgional 1,,, no thankyou was my answer ,,as he used to race 650 at different country tracks in victoria australia ... regards oldbiker
