Swapping Wheels

So I just picked up a 79 xs and it has the 7 spokes on it. Is there anything special I need to do to swap the wheels to the wire spoked wheels front and rear? Also are both the 7 spoke and wire spoked wheels the same sizes front and rear? Like if I were to buy new tires for the 7 spokes would they fit exactly the same on the wired?

- if i remember right all standard front wheels...cast-spokes, wire-spokes, alu high-shoulder rims, chrome-steel flat-shoulder rims, 36 spoke, 64 spoke...were 1.85 x 19

Your rear cast wheel will be a 16" diameter with a disc brake (if stock OEM) and you're swap right in wire spoked options are going to be with drum brakes whether 16" or 18".

The big issue will be a wired spoked 16" disc braked rear that swaps right in. Find me a Unicorn while you're at it. Best, Blue
