Hey all,
Going through the magnitude of shit online I could never find a bracket I liked for my brake light that also held my licence plate. Had made a couple out of aluminum but they were always just temp ugly jobs. Recently found out my local Library has a 3D printer! Learned the program and after a few attempts ended with one I'm fairly happy with. Nothing special but works for what I wanted. Anyway to thank my local library I thought I would offer this up here and donate the proceedings back to the library.
So if anyone is interested in one complete:
Raw bracket- shipped - $35
Quick sanding and painted - $45
I suggest you paint it if you get the raw one as the plastics are susceptible to UV
If you have a 3D printer or your local Library has one (many these days do and I suggest you go play with it they are awesome!) I'll send you the build file for $5.
I just want to thank them for having this available and help them purchase more stuff for me to play with haha. I can also make changes to the design pretty easy (ie no mount holes for the light and just drill your own or tell me the hole size and spacing). Lead times may vary as they only have a open print day once a week and if someone gets there before me I have to wait till the following week. Anyway here are some pictures and a link to the tail light I used.

*Ignore the grey one on the seat it was an older design that ended up the "art" bin.
