TC Bros Oil Tank End Caps

I recieved the TC Bros Oil Tank for my build. The end caps really are a tight fit. What have you guys done so that if they need to come off you don't damage paint? I have worked one end down to where I can slide it on and off now but it would still take paint off if removed. Thanks for any imput.

Thanks, I talked with Kent on the phone today about it. He is still planning on cutting some reliefs. I have been working mine down with strips of emory cloth like buffing shoes. Cap goes on and off fairly easy now. I quess I'll keep working it down til it comes off easy enough not to destroy the paint too bad.
