If you are in the area it is a nice fall color ride.
Highway 1/88 from north of Talihina, OK to Mena, AR.
Just 55 miles, but with traffic and photo shots it may take you 3 hours.

If it is mealtime when you get to Mena try the Choppin Block.
Or if you travel from the east to the west try the Southern Belle (an old RR diner car) in Heavener, OK
Either of the roads running parallel on the north or south will take you across the valleys instead of the ridge. So the color viewing is just as nice, maybe better looking up the sides.

Thanks for sharing looks like a great run. We had an exceptionally long fall colors this year but it's about done now. 3 days of rain in progress.

Reminds me of the Petit Jean mountain area. The colors up here were the best I've ever seen, prob. due to all the rain in the summer, but we had a freak windstorm before it peaked. Thinking about checking out southern NC in a day or two.

Made that run many years ago. It was a great ride. I was riding a GS 1000 at the time and rode with a couple other guys mounted on BMW's.
