Think about being SAFE when building and it will still come out cool

Understood.

But the original point of this post is about how someone cared more about how the bike looked than about how it functioned or how safe it is.
Who gives a crap about how they look on a bike? I'm more concerned about how well it performs; how it runs, handles and stops.
And there are people that ENJOY working on bikes. It's fun or therapeutic. And, yes, some people work on their own stuff because their wallets are thin and they're doing the best they can with what they have. Those are good people.

Good people are ppl who work on their bikes and ppl who dont. At the end of the day, its just a bike, a material thing that, in an instant, can be utterly destroyed. Ive learned, ts best not to get caught up in material things.
