Thinner/Slimmer Throttle sleeve

So, got new bars, ditched the bullhorns. Picked up a smaller master brake cylinder and in the process of cleaning up the cable lengths.

got a pair of scott grips similar to THESE for free and attempted to fit one on over my stock throttle sleeve. The sleeve is obviously noticeable both by feel and sight under these grips, more so at the end where the throttle cable connects to the sleeve. I asked the guy at a local shop if they had a slimmer throttle sleeve and his response was. "Just jam the grip over the throttle sleeve" I feel sorry for this dudes wife. The Jamming it on looks like shit and feels like shit.

So, anyone run into this problem? and can you recommend a thinner throttle sleeve or a better solution then "jamming it on" Im open to alternative grips I'm lurking at the kung-fu grips by biltwell.
