Throttle cable for ex500 carbs on '80 xs650

Okay I've read the "ex500 carbs on xs650" thread and found a few options. I need a new cable as it is, so should I go with a stock one, or get a 2 in 1? I want as minimal modifications as possible. I'm okay with getting a new stock cable but I can't even find one if those! I looked on mikesxs and can't find one for the '80SG model. I also want to use the stock twist grip. Thanks

I went to the wreckers and bought an ex500 right side throttle control and just use the pull cable stock for ex 500. Works perfect.

Well turns out my cable was good. At first look it was rough but it cleaned up and lubed up and with slight modification it's working like a dream. Thanks anyway!

Can you post a pic of how you set yours up? I'm in the same situation. Carbs are mounted and plumbed just need to figure the cable out.

I used the method described by 56nomad in the EX500 thread - bought a brake cable adjuster on eBay and shortened the stock cable by 1-3/8".
