ticking at RH case when warmed up.

So when my 74 gets warmed up and Ive gone a few blocks I start to hear a very audible ticking from the RH case. I know the clutch is on its way out, could this be it? Any suggestions?

When she first starts there is no sound at all, its only when shes up to operating temperature. Its also louder when the bike is in gear running down the road, pull the clutch in or pop into neutral and the sound diminishes but doesn't disappear.

I did an oil change yesterday so I could remove the case and see if anything was looking dicey. I couldn't find anything, but inspection of the filter showed I had some well little bits of metal floating around in there...... that makes me a sad panda...
