i took a break from my xs650's and chopped this sportster i picked up last september.
a quick run down of the bike
it was a '94 883 hugger
i wasnt ready to chop it up after i got it, but i wanted to change the pipes so i took it to a friend to have some pipes made, he found a broken exhaust stud on the front head and it all went down hill from there.
i was in need of a valve job, so i decided to bore the cylinders to 1200, and from there i put 1200cc valves in the heads, ported the heads, put andrews N8 cams in, screaming eagle ignition and coil, and the 42mm mikuni carb.
i figured that while im tearing the engine down i might as well chop the frame too. so a friend and i made a custom oil tank battery box, another friend chopped a tank for me, i modified the cam cover, rear fender triple tree's.
the rear master cylinder is pretty cool, its a remote master cylinder off of a yamaha R6, and i mounted it on the left side of the bike, and used an xs650 brake lever and actuator to activate the master cyilnder.
ive got a few things i need to tidy up, the rear exhaust hanger and the front triple tree lock. i need to add a heat shield to the pipes (i burned a hole in my favorite jeans on my first day out with the bike).
this bike is scary fast and fun.
enjoy the pics guys!
