Tool kit location

Question:
Where is the stock tool kit on a '81 XS650 Special II located?
Is it under the seat, behind a side cover?
Can someone reply to my email with a photo showing the proper mounting place and also what secures the tool kit.

It's behind the left side cover, held in by an o'ring.

so true Gary. Show me someone that lets their brushes wear down to failure, and I'll show you someone that never does occasional maintenance on their bike. Same person never checks brake lining or pad wear either. They deserve to break down!

Well, I know the truth hurts. A large percentage of these bikes were driven hard with just minimum maintenance. I think a lot of young lads, that bought them, didn't even know there were brushes.

I remember mine leaving me stranded in the first year of ownership. Daytona Beach sand ate the chain and brushes. I didn't know better

And many lads today both young and old still don't know.
