Thanks for all the help. ran it in a little today and took it down my little street.
Also forgot to put a gasket behind my pamco Backing plate section.
I think that was my only stuff up of the day.

Thanks! yeah stock headpipes with some cocktail type mufflers. Im pretty happy with how it turned out.

I dont have that baffle either on my 1972 256 engine is it only on later engines?

Also I dont know what you mean about o rings on the jugs, is this the 2 dowels at the bottom of the jugs?

It appears that baffle plate was only used on the '74 and later 447 engines .....

The o-ring though is shown on your motor (#4) .....

It's a pretty large diameter, red in color, and fits up over the sleeve that hangs out of the bottom of the cylinder casting .....

Oh wow I wondered what those big red o rings were for, I got a set with the pistons and in the full gasket set kit.
