tracker tank

Can anyone tell me what tanks work for a 77 model Yamaha as I am building a tracker and want to mix it up. Do the early 70's tanks work on the 77 model? I dont want to have to cut and weld either, just want it to fit.

i think 74-84 is what you have to work with. hear the xs750 tanks are a fairly easy mod.

up to 73 are slightly longer.74 on will fit without any adustments

How about anything other than XS's or another brand motorcyle perhaps? Anyone have any experience with others? I am just trying to get ideas and appreciate the responses.
