Valve stem seal removal

Do the valve stem seals just pop off? I've got the Haynes manual and it doesn't seem to say exactly how you remove them. Any tips?

Yes, they just pop or snap off. Once you have one off, you'll see the groove in the top of the guide that the lip inside the seal "snaps" into. You may have to lever them off with a big screwdriver.

Awesome you're right thanks! I was just a little worried and didn't want to pull on them too hard.

I've heard using a blow dryer or heat gun helps loosen them up, but rubber expands faster than metal so I'm not really sure how that would help...
