vf500 alternator/ flywheel

i have a vf500 alternator and flywheel, I haven't taken off the old stator, but im looking at the threads and it looks like the old stator has big threads in the center and the vf500 pma has a threaded center that looks bigger than the existing shaft, is there a insert for the vf500 or a trick to make it adapt?

um, you mean the rotor? The part in the middle that rotates?
The Stator is the non-rotating part on the outside with the coils in it.
If so, there may well be an adapter to fit your VF500 rotor to your XS650's crankshaft but you may need do find a "Bro with lathe" to make you one.
