VM38's and the XS?

Remember, your intake is only feeding one cylinder at a time. If you're building a drag racer the VM38 is a fine carburetor. For the street--you can make a lot of marginal things work, but you'll lose low end and some midrange power, low speed tractability will suffer, and idle is likely to be ragged.

Thanks grizld1. I was given a couple carbs to rebuild and the guy asked if I wanted it. When I measured I noticed it's a 38. I was really hoping for a 34/36, oh well. I've seen these on Harley's, and of course snow machines, but was really unsure about the use on a XS. Guess I'll see if I can trade it or something. I'm not building a racer, but would like to try my hands at a 2 into 1.
Thanks again
