Wanting to get to the bare metal on the tank, what do i use?

Kent, I've tired a few kinds of "aircraft stripper" and the Mar-Hyde Tal-Strip II works the best by far.
Travis,
I'm glad the Tal-Strip II has worked so well for you......I don't know if you knew it and it probably makes little difference but Tal-Strip II was intended primarily to strip coatings off of aluminum.....there is a standard product called[for some strange reason]Tal-Strip! I bought both of these products with the intent of using the Tal-Strip to remove the paint from my XS750 tank[it did a fine job!]and the II to use on my engine cases, alloy rims, etc...have not tried it yet, but have high hopes! Anything to make that process easier gets my vote. Just a FYI on an interesting situation.
