Slow day @ the bit-mines...read the 'clutch' section in tech again earlier. Amazing how (I) remember what I read before, even after taking some notes the second, third time reading. Probably should have scrounged around Ebay for a whole later model clutch pack...still could with the sprung bottom. My 7 Kevlar friction plates are 3.0 mm and probably just keep cleaning the 6 dirty metal rings and throw the extra I bought in. Was using 400 grit and that krud-kutter solvent on the metal rings seemed to do the trick....bump up to some 150 grit...quicker. Looked at my one-piece rod, after attempting polishing a while back with up to some 2500 grit black magic wet/dry. Seems I could buff it some. Eh, just going to be careful how it goes back together with some of the other new fixing parts.
