I've got a pretty much stock 80 650 special,
Thinking of putting drag bars on it.

What do you guys have on your bike?

I have the TC Bros drag bars on my build.

Cheap and cheerful and does the trick!

hi ,,,i,ve got a 1976 frame,,,,and currently i,m running mikesxs daytona handlebars ,,,,,,,which i,m happy with ,,,but soon i hope to change to gs handlebars from mikesxs,, as they are slightly lower ,,, than daytona but not as much pullback ... so they will put me over the front a little more ,,,regards oldbiker

I think you'll find a drag bar a bit too low on a mostly stock bike. Go lower than the buckhorns, yes, but not that low. Something like a Superbike or Euro bend is very nice. My personal preference is the Euro bar, most comfortable bar on the planet in my opinion. I have them on practically all my bikes .....

CB750 bars. They come in an immense variety and are dirt cheap on ebay.

I run ace clubmans turned upside down. I'm 5'7 and this gives me a comfortable ride height and the right pull back.

I am thinking of finding a cheap set of euro's to try as well. That or a Norman Hyde "M" style bar.

Just made these for my bike. Had drag bars for a couple years but wanted to try a different look.

Hey, 5Twins, where does one purchase a "Euro Bar"? Google and Bing don't help...I like the looks of yours.

Nice wide set of bars I bought from Ebay, pulled right back they are really comfy on the standard 78 XS Special

How do you clean up the cables after switching bars?

I'm leaning toward Euro bars now, lower, but not too low, but I think the throttle and clutch cables would be eastering out then.
