Which way up/fitted does this worm drive gear go please.

Im an idiot - I didnt take enough notice.
Its the worm gear thats driven by the oil pump and sits on the same shaft - does the recess point up or down.
Its fits either way and drives the tacho in the same direction as well.
The nut has better purchase if its fitted with the recess up.
Next time I will engage my brain.
Could somebody look at a know good assembly and let me know please.

Recess is up, and there should be a lock washer under the nut.

Dogbunny - thanks for the reply - yes I have a spring washer under the nut.
I still need help with my other querie "is my oil pump serviceable" - hopefully somebody will respond.
