Who's done 'it all' to their engine?

Anyone here have an engine that's been totally done over or close to it? Big bore, rephase, pamco ignition, cam, etc etc etc. What specifically have you done and how different is it from a stock bike? Lastly, what did your total engine budget run?

I've rephrased,new rods, bearings, pistons, valves, new nuts, baskets,still need a pamco if makes ever gets the kit in...... I'm guessing I'm up to about $1200

I haven't rephased but I have rebuilt the crank. All new bearings and Mike's heavy duty rods, About $450 there. Mike's 750 kit. $599. Gaskets, seals, copper washers, $125. Clutch plates and springs, $75. Pamco, $229. Stock cam, mild head work, mostly clean up the roughness from casting.
Headpipes and mufflers. $225. Not engine work but helpfull.
Was all this worth the gains, I think so. I'm guessing a 12-15 % increase in power. The decrease in engine vibes above 3500 rpms, an unexpected bonus.
More power = more fun around town, less vibes = smoother highway miles.

Mine will be getting built shortly, all work will be done by me at home with the exception of the re-bore & bead blasting.

New rods & all 4 bearings in crank new + re-phase to 277, re-bore .050 & new pistons, new g/box bearing kit + recon g/box, Pam-co 277 ignition kit (minus advance - will re-use mine with new spring kit), Mr-Riggs 277 re phased cam, new valves (still undecided if I will install the new SS ones I have or install the refaced originals yet) both cam-chain guides, cam-chain, bolt kits (top & bottom) all cases bead blasted, Punkskalars PM conversion kit, new gasket & seal kit, new oil pump, Heiden XR oil filter/cooler conversion, starter eliminated, new cam bearings, elephant foot rockers, 1 piece clutch push rod, new sump filter with shroud, new spark plugs, washer kits (top & bottom end)

Carbs will be bought soon probably a new VM34 kit & exhaust will be Omars 1/2 mile system.

The frame,wheels,bodywork etc is another story.

Thats all I can think of now..?? Will add if I think of anymore....

Rephase, 750, pamco, dellortos, banshee swap, oil cooler, 7plate clutch basket swap..... I'll let you know soon. I stopped keeping a budget whenever I broke it.....
