Why are my pistons so tight?

I build a lot of motors and just rule of thumb that I do is without rings installed drop pistons in cylinders and the should drop threw easy. Some bore shops don't mark piston LEFT/RIGHT and you could have had a tight bore with one piston. If you take the top ring off and stick it in the bore you can measure the gap and do it for second ring. With rings on piston and jugs off bike you should be able to push pistons up and down and be able to twist them in bore. I use my index finger and put it in wrist pin hole and go up down. PROBLEM with tight bore is when bike gets hot piston rings expand and bike can shut down or not start when hot.
You don't want a sloppy bore so it should take a little force but not much .
While you are apart double check or even take back for bore shop to check. Everyone has a bad day every once in a while. I have seen bad bores more than twice.
