Will 18 rear rim swap over?

I'm having a hard time finding duel sport rear tires in 16, so I was wondering I the earlier 18 rim will swap over with out mods? It's an 81 xs 650 16 rear drum mag wheel or is there another rim that will swap over to make finding tires easier ? And if so what mods ? Thanks

Yes they should be a direct swap. I've done it with the spoked ones multiple times.

duel sport, eh? Does one use sabers or lances for that?
OK, I know you meant dual sport but I had a vision of SCA guys in armor battling on XS650s.
Like the man said, an 18" XS650 rear wheel drops straight in.
But all the 18" rears are wire wheels.
If you are OK with a wire wheel rear and an artillery wheel front, that's fine.
Otherwise, you need to find both.
Note that early wire wheel fronts come with the 2-part brake disk that don't line up with the late model brake calipers.
Luckily the brake disks swap too.

Good that's great to know. Lances ? I bet it would be fun but would hurt. Now I have to find a 18 rear ,my other bike has wires on them. So this will be a great thing to do. Thanks all for the info.
