wiring question

hi guys i just finished my xs2 as a rolling chassis no motor yet so i wired up the battery and hokked up all wires in headlight pot and got nothing .my question is can u check it in this manner or dou need the main harness from motor plugged in thanks joe

There's a wiring diagram in the "Tech" section.................so have a look at it.

thanks i did look at the wiring diagram and everything looks in order other then the main harness isnt plugged inand motor is out.i just cant figure if thats what completes the circuit.thanks for ur reply joe

Its diffcult to diagnose your electrical without actually seeing the electrical or atleast a diagram of what you did. I can imagine a few different ways were you should with no problem be able to turn on everything but the ignition system i.e. lights, turn signals. That doesn't help your situation but some more info on your set up would help.

If possible post a diagram, double check all connections and ground.
