XS 650 SPECIAL SISSY BAR #34 on a 79?

Guy sold me some stuff including a XS 650 SPECIAL SISSY BAR #34. He said he had it on a 79. It doesn't seem to line up well and wasn't sure if I could rig it. I want to commute with the bike and put a bag on the back. The bike is a 79 xs650sf.

sure you can, just have to make some brackets or find some that will work. make some out of cardboard and take those pieces to a hardware store and see if you can find something that works. assuming youre not going to make one yourself.

I believe that "#34" is an auction lot number and you bought this from a 'flipper'.

The guy actually has a 79' and said it was on it. He gave me a couple other parts and they seem to be ok. I was surprised he shipped them to me for free. Still a couple of cool folks out there.
