Linkage is key, the valving is deaigned to work within a given spring rate. If your lucky you can ajdust the preload on the collar or change the spring rate. Go too stiff and it can overwhelm the valving. Additioanlly that looks like a nitrogen charged shock, ensure it has a charge. Good luck !

Thanks @BobbedSled @MaxPete! I ended up swapping it for nitro off a GSXR 600. Hopefully I'll get it mocked up and put a load on it this weekend.

Found a Honda CB400 gas tank that I like the look of. Hope to have more done this weekend. Once I get this mono shock sorted out I can focus on the tail section.

Got the new shock and made sure it was strong enough b4 welding mounts in place.
Went with a Honda 600 F4i because multiple adjustors and availability

I've heard of ppl running 7ah batteries with no problems but I also heard you find out really fast if something is wrong with your charging system.

I'm looking for something that takes up substantially less space but still had close to stock specs. That's why that Duracell caught my eye 6" Long x 4" Wide x 4" High with stock Volts & Amp/Hours

Plus it uses nut and bolt terminals instead of those male spade connectors that are prone to vibrating off
