Wanted - Xs2 gas tank 1972 xs650

Here's an XS1 tank on the forum: http://www.xs650.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26424 from Action Johnny in Canada. I bought a seat from him and he's a straight shooter, fast shipper.

Take a look on eBay. There are three XS1/2 tanks under $100 and a couple over $200.

If you aren't restoring your bike, most any XS650 tank will fit and can be used.

Thanks for the heads up Bill. I think I read the later tanks are too long or too short? Any info on that? Or pictures?

That could be Josh. I don't know the difference(s), but MikesXS sells a tank that fits all XS650's from 1974-84 - which lets out fitment on XS1/1B/2 and '73 TX650's.

The base part number for the early bikes is 256-24110-00-?? (the ?? digits are for paint color with X1 being green, 02 being orange and X3 red). Parts interchange shows these bikes using the 256-24110-00- tanks:
1970 XS1 - Fuel Tank
1971 XS1B - Fuel Tank
1972 XS2 - Fuel Tank
1973 TX650 - Fuel Tank

Anyway, there seem to be plenty of those to choose from. Good luck.
