Hey Norman1950, I bought this bike 45 minutes after it hit craigslist. Never owned an XS before but really liked the way it looked. Got it home, yanked that fairing, rear rack and sissy bar off and it's starting to look pretty dang good. It's got some issues. Main thing is the right carb won't idle or run at slow speed. Tank had some fine sufrace rust in it. I think that's what is wrong with the carb.
I've got a headlight ring for it now. Also I've cut the seat down, just need to get it covered. You know anybody in the valley that covers motorcycle seats at a reasonable price?
