Xs650 not starting

I have a 83 xs650 with a pmco/pma/sparx cap. The bike was running great then one day it just stopped and I cannot start it. I put a spark tester on the plug and it has no spark. The fuse panel is getting power because then I pull a fuse the light indicates on, for an open in the system. Do I need to replace the pamco? Or the coil? Thanks in advance

coil between power and trigger terminal is reading 2.5ohm and between both the plug wires is reading 15.5k ohm so I’m thinking the coil is alright.

The search function works well on this site, and you'll find plenty of explanations of how no-battery PMA systems tend to kill PAMCO ignitions.

Don't understand this bit above.

Have you got a battery? I mean anywhere. Can you power the Pamco solely from the battery and see what happens? The reason being your PMA may have packed up or the Pamco. This would help you find out which.
