Xs650 sh charging problem.

Hi there can you please help,my bike is not charging i have replaced one of the brushes,when the engine is running at idle it reads 11.7volts across the battery when reved up the outpout is only 12.5. How do i check voltage regulator .or could it be something els .cheers alex from scotland.

Why just change one brush? They come in sets of two.
