1980 year had 2 models and each model had a different side-cover...............Those covers fit a spoke wheel, 80G SII model

As you would if your bike is a ‘78 or ‘79 model. In 1980 there were two kinds of Specials as @650Skull pointed out.

Shit guys. These machines are 40+ years old. Parts are going to get mixed and matched Especailly here in the states with flat track guys that sell this stuff by the full trailor. Guy got argumentive with me because of a "for sale" post I made. I listed a bike and its year. He kept wanting to argue because the wheels didn't match the year. I just threw whatever wheel was sitting close on it to roll.

The covers you need only came on 70 to 73 models.
