xs650 streamliner

Wow, that's a labor of love, right there! Look at the engineering, not to mention the time, effort and attendant skills involved. Great stuff! Neat forum too... might bear checking out!

anybody notice that the engines are BLOWN!?

Yup! I reckon it's just a matter of time til a roots-type, blown (not turbo) XS or TS turns up on here. :) Or maybe it has and I just don;t know about it yet. :)

Wonder what other mods would have to be made to tolerate that extra intake charge velocity, pressure, etc.?

Here's one, not sure if it's the same one that I spoke to the owner of, but he said the engine was stock 650,

That's cool,thanks for posting that.I've seen a few of the Vesco's rides but have not seen this one.If it was originally built in 69 i guess they push started it(no electric starters until 72). I wonder why they used a later electric start engine in the front for the restoration? Maybe they couldn't find another 70-71 engine? Still, a very cool old racer.I would love to go see that at the museum.
