My turn

Reading through some older threads, found Glj’s and others positive comments on SCM complete XS-2 gasket sets that are still available. One set just arrived today. They look great, still pliable, promptly nicely packaged and shipped.Great price, just ordering a second set now to have for trial and error processes on the original 72 motor rebuild this winter.$28.98 to my door. The extra case and valve cover gaskets for this price definitely won’t go to waste and good to have on the shelf.

Surprisingly not much noticeable difference for the puttin around that I do.Initially I put it in on as a joke for some old hill climbing friends.Liked the look and it stayed.

Rear wheel splash guard cut.Initiated a 90• angle to begin. It will attach to the battery/electrical component plate. I use hanger lower stem cuts for forming desired accurate bends. I still use my old Airco torch head I got for an 8th grade graduation gift,it was used. I cherish it.No rose bud,no brazing tip,we’ve gotten to know each other well in 50 years plus. This particular plate needed a step up 3/8 or so & A lot more when I was 17-23,still duz if you’re gonna build it to spec or rock it.No debate. They’ll bust.

Working on making a seat for a Champion lazer style racing seat pan again.Made a couple in my teens, nothing fancy but were effective fit and function for the rider and the ride.Fast forward to today. I spoke with Dave Keil, owner of KE Motosports,Reno,NV this afternoon.A quick laugh and an old yep,l don’t have a lot of those perfect Champion seats left to sell either. “I’ll get a few again for stock,someday.🤝.😇😇

Kinda think both sides should match, but that's just me.
Agree.Put them both to the back and gonna go with that.Faced to the front risks a clearance issue for the travel factor.👍

Spring fever here so ordered some generic number plates and put them on.Been a back burner thought for a senior class flat track ride at Davenport or somewhere one day before I get to far into being a senior.lol.Hopefully the number plates fire me up to get back to finishing the original motor rebuild even if the ride doesn’t happen.🤩
