Thanks. It`ll look way better in the trash can than the first one I did.I like the way the tail section is shaping up!
How does the fabric hold it`s shape?
I spent the entire day "Boxing the Bishop"I spent the entire day "Boxing the Bishop" on this tail section/seat. I had to make a form to center the seat and get the general shape of the bend then make pattern`s (3) before I got one I can barely tolerate. The green tape is covering a window I cut in the pattern so I could match up the center lines. I did one side at a time then folded it in half and was off about 1/16". Unacceptable. When I transfer it to the aluminum sheet I`ll leave about 1/8" at the bottom where it meet`s the upper frame rails so it can be trimmed as it has to be sloped inwards at the same angle as the downward bend from the bottom of the form to the frame rails and the very front of the seat has to taper in too. The flat seat bottom/back should be easier than the structural ass kicking I`m currently enjoying. On a lighter note the lifting spool mounting tabs were a piece of cake.

Starting to remind me of an old George Carlin skit. Oh well I can`t spend the day "Spanking the Monkey" on the computer. I`m going out to the shop and try to accomplish something XS650 related.
